BOOMERANCH
Bayville, Long Island, NY
Published in 1000x Architecture of the Americas, the low slung, boomerang shaped house takes advantage of sweeping 135° water views, from the private, south side of the site. The spatial layouts, focused on the water views, are connected via a spinal circulation. The house, utilizing a regional modernist vocabulary, is a composition of attenuated verticals and horizontal forms, reinforced by the articulation of vertical and horizontal cedar siding patterns.
